Is disease and fungus control part of the 7-Step Program?
No, it is quoted separately. We do inspect for disease on every program visit and will tell you if we see something starting.
My lawn has brown patches. Is it fungus?
Often it is not. Grub damage, dog urine, a dull mower blade, drought stress, and buried construction debris all leave brown patches that look the same from the porch. The difference matters, because a fungicide does nothing for any of them. We look at the shape of the affected area, its edges, and the individual blades before calling it disease.
Can I send a photo instead of scheduling a visit?
Send it, it does help. On its own it usually is not enough. Identifying turf disease depends on how the damage is spreading, what a blade looks like up close at the lesion, what the weather has done for the past two weeks, and how the lawn is being watered and mowed. A photo covers one of those.
What brings disease on in the first place?
Water and heat, usually together. Turf disease needs the leaf to stay wet for a long stretch, so evening watering is the most common cause we can point at and change. Warm, humid nights do the same thing without any help from a sprinkler.
Will one fungicide application fix it?
Sometimes. A fungicide stops the disease from spreading. It does not regrow turf that is already dead, and that regrowth happens on the grass's schedule. Established cases usually need more than one application, and if watering or mowing habits caused it, treating without changing them only buys time.
Is a fungicide safe around kids and pets?
Same as the rest of the program: safe once the treated area is dry, a sign in the yard, and a text after the visit. Fungicide labels sometimes carry extra instructions, and when that day's product does, it will be in the text.
